First Snow storm / Notre première tempête de neige

Ben c'est joli, tout est blanc ce matin!

Et puisque notre vole pour Los Angeles a été annulé à cause de cette fameuse tempête, on est descendu découvrir cette neige qu'on a regardé tomber pendant plus de 14 heures. Le bonheur! Elana a adoré cette petite sortie matinale avant le petit déjeuner.

Une fois que j'avais commencé à planifer nos vacances ici au lieu de San Diego, Taylor a décidé de passer sa journée à trouver un moyen de passer Noël en California. En fin de journée il nous avait préparer un itinéraire via Manchester - Philly - San Diego. On aura tout de même nos vacances au soleil et en même temps on pourra découvrir un petit coin du New Hampshire, puisqu'on part maintenant de Manchester.

En fin d'après-midi on a bravé les températures et sommes allés nous promener sous les lumières de Commonwealth Avenue. Avec la neige, c'était sublime!

Allez, on refait les valises, difficile à croire qu'on sera bientôt au chaud.

This morning everything is white!

Since our flight to LA got cancelled because of the storm there was no hurry to get going and we decided to go check out that snow we'd been watching fall for the last 14hours. Elana loved this short pre-breakfast outing!

Then, once I'd started putting some thing together to make our vacation here fun, Taylor decided he'd do whatever it took to get us to California. He spent all day on the phone/internet and eventually got us on a Manchester-Philly-San Diego itinerary. We'll get our sun filled California vacation after all and get to discover a piece of New Hampshire at the same time since we are now leaving from Manchester, NH.

Late afternoon, once the stormed passed, we bundled up again, and walked down Commonwealth Avenue which looked beautiful with the trees all lit up and the freshly fallen snow.

Time to repack. Hard to believe we'll be in warm weather soon!
